This page explains what Garlicly collects, what it does not, and how to reach us about it. It is written for the site as it actually runs.
What we collect
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. Comments are closed across the site, so there is no comment data to collect. We do not run a newsletter signup or an account system.
Like any website, our host and CDN record standard request data: the page requested, the time, a truncated IP address used for security and rate limiting, and the browser user-agent string. We use it to keep the site up, not to build profiles.
Cookies and analytics
Garlicly does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Our CDN (Cloudflare) sets strictly functional security cookies for visitors who pass a bot check. Retailer sites you reach through affiliate links set their own cookies; those are governed by the retailer, not by us.
Third parties
Cloudflare serves and protects the site. If you click an affiliate link, the retailer receives the request and its own tracking parameters, described in our affiliate disclosure. No other third party receives your data from us.
How long we keep it
Emails are kept while the conversation is open and for a short period afterwards in case of follow-up questions. Aggregate request logs are rotated by the host and are not retained by us long term.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete an email you have sent by writing to [email protected]. You can also block cookies in your browser without losing access to any article here.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the update date below changes and the change is noted in our editorial policy changelog where relevant.
